Radio silence here in the last few weeks, I know…such is life when you live in Paris and work two teaching jobs. So, to get back in the swing of things I propose a simple solution: a recommendation every day culminating in a playlist for the month. I start writing regularly and you all get song recommendations! Hooray!

So, without further ado, let’s dive in to April 1st’s recommendation—drum roll please…I present to you…

“Bossy” by J.D. McPherson.

I will eventually get ’round to writing a post about just how stellar McPherson’s new album, Let the Good Times Roll really is, but for the meantime, suffice to say I’ve been playing it A LOT. And this song is one of my faves. Percussive, groovy, with just enough jangle and some interesting sounds. Plus a hint of nostalgia and a wiff of some real American rock n’ roll. This makes me feel like a badass when I listen to it during my morning commute. ‘Nuff said.
